Several winery and resort transactions have been recorded in Napa Valley throughout the year, and one more was recently added to the list. Seven Stones, a 15,288 square foot winery and estate in St. Helena, Calif. was sold for $34 million, or approximately $2,223 per square foot, according to a listing by Compass Real Estate, the broker for the deal. The sale was closed on Nov. 16. The seller was the Wornick family and the buyer was not listed.
Both the Buyers and the Sellers were capably represented by Steven Mavromihalis and Damian Archbold of Compass.

Seven Stones is located at 840 Meadowood Lane and consists of several structures – including a 6,588 square foot primary residence and a 2,163 square foot winery – on 45 acres. The residence was designed by architect William Ming Sing Lee and contains a triple height living room, an extended gallery wing with built-ins to exhibit three-dimensional art, a den with a fireplace, a fitness room, two private offices, an eat-in chef’s kitchen, a 1,000-bottle wine cellar and an attached three-car garage, according to information from Compass.
Also on the estate compound are a 1,821 square foot poolside guesthouse with a living room, fireplace, two bedrooms, a two-car garage and an outdoor kitchen; a one-bedroom, 1,354 square foot estate manager’s cottage with living and dining rooms and a landscaped backyard with a spa; and a 900 square foot barn as well as an 800 square foot maintenance building.

Other recent transactions have been recorded in Napa Valley throughout the year.
Earlier this year, Shafer Vineyards, a family-owned winery in Napa, was sold for $250.3 million to South Korean-based firm Shinsegae, a department store franchise, according to The Registry’s previous reporting. Located at 6154 Silverado Trail, the winery was established in 1972, and the property spans 209 acres.
In another deal, a 857-acre resort property in Napa was sold for $25 million in July to RH, a luxury home design brand formerly known as Restoration Hardware. Located at 2000 Soda Springs Road, the property is known as Napa Soda Springs and is home to the historic Napa Soda Springs Resort. The land is also home to mineral springs, Soda Creek and an 80-foot waterfall.
