Welcome to Alta Heights

Find both hip living and serenity in this scenic Napa Valley town

One of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Napa, Alta Heights has all the peaceful vibes of small-town living while still offering its residents coveted access to outstanding cuisine and exciting cultural events.

Architectural styles abound here, with everything from Victorian to mid-century modern and the classic California ranch, and the views of the Napa Valley and the Napa River are stunning. Although the area became an official part of the city of Napa in 1875, it remained undeveloped until the early 1900s. A unique, friendly neighborhood that doesn’t take itself too seriously, the name itself reflects the quirk and charm of Alta Heights. Alta translates to ‘high’ in Spanish, and with its gorgeous scenery, great eats, and laid-back vibes, life for locals really does reach the highest of heights.
